Every app you can promote has a ready-made link on Dashboard under Your Affiliate Links. Copy it, never build one by hand. It carries three pieces of information and all three must stay intact for the referral to reach you.
Step 1: Pick the right app and platform
The table lists nine links:

Progus Subscriptions
Progus InPost
Store Locator appears four times because each platform has its own destination. The other five links all go to the Shopify App Store, so those apps only suit Shopify merchants. Send a WIX merchant the Shopify row and they land in the wrong place.
Step 2: Copy the link with the button
Press Copy at the end of the row. The button turns into Copied for a few seconds. The link is built from your Partner ID, so it is yours alone and you can reuse it. The app name in the first column opens the same link, so you can check where it lands.
Step 3: Leave the link alone
A link carries the app, your Partner ID as ref, and the destination as target. Retyping the ID, dropping the destination or running the link through a shortener that strips the query string all break it. If you need a tidy link, wrap the whole copied URL rather than rebuilding it.
Step 4: Know what a click is worth
Clicks are recorded and shown on Analytics, but a click on its own earns nothing. The referral exists only once the app is installed with your Partner ID attached.
