Reading your Analytics and Customers pages

What Clicks and Customers actually count, why a past month can change, and how to read an expanded customer row.

Analytics tells you how your promotion is doing. Customers tells you who you already have. Analytics shows no money at all, and the lifetime total on Customers is not a balance. Both mislead if you expect the two to line up.

Step 1: Set the range on Analytics

The date picker opens on Today. The presets are Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days and This year, plus a Custom range with Start date, End date and an Apply button.

Step 2: Filter by app if you need to

Next to the date picker, Select applications narrows both figures to the apps you tick. Leave it empty to see everything.

Step 3: Read the two cards

Clicks counts how many times your links were opened in the range. Customers counts installs in the same range, one per shop and per app, so a shop that installs two of your apps counts twice. The Analytics Overview chart below plots both by day.

The Customers figure only counts apps installed right now, so an uninstall lowers a month you already looked at and a reinstall restores it under the original date. None of this touches your credit for the shop.

Step 4: Open a row on Customers

The list shows Customer ID, which is the shop domain, and Total Earnings. Click a row to expand it into App, Installation Date, Status, Subscription and Price. Status reads installed or uninstalled, and uninstalled rows stay on the page. A plan shown as free means there is no active subscription for that app right now, whether the shop never paid or its plan was cancelled or paused.
